Personality & Traits |
| General Overview |
Hashar has always been a quiet, contemplative person, and remained such during his years of Trill initiate-hood. He was shadowed by Tesra Mor, who was the host of the Mor symbiont prior to his joining. The two worked together for a time as Hashar made his way through the Sepix NeuroAcademy on the Trill homeworld, where Hashar earned a degree in psychology as well as an extensive grasp of medical know-how, far beyond the Field-Medic base requirements of his degree.
While he did not expect to command the starship Missouri, he has embraced the challenge with a certain wary strength.

| Strengths & Weaknesses
|
Hashar has a strong sense of justice. However, this can tend to be overstated in situations where it might be best left understated. He has a strong adherance to the chain of command, but is also not one to blindly follow orders without understanding either that unquestioning faith is necessary at the time, or that the situation simply calls for it. |
| Ambitions |
Hashar envisioned the Captaincy of a starship much further into the future, but seeks to be the best leader he can afford of his experience and lifetimes. He also follows the recent line of Mor hosts -- he maintains a keen interest in the Klingon Empire, which he picked up after joining to the Mor symbiont, and imagines that at some point he may also serve aboard, in collusion with or as a liaison officer to a Klingon Defense Force Unit.
|
| Hobbies & Interests |
Mor remains in superior physical condition, enjoying Galeo-Manada style wrestling as well as the more well-known Klingon martial arts, which he began studying after his Joining thanks to Nozruc and Farrell’s extensive contacts with the culture.
Mor is a night owl and hates to be priggishly appropriate, thus lending to his appreciation of forgotten composers like the Romulan Frenchotte, Human DiFranco, Yridian symphonies and Klingon song, food, and drink. He is far better at poker and Tongo than Norzoc ever was. He also inherited a love of steamed azna from prior hosts, along with the Altonian brain teaser puzzle some 140 years before his Joining — when either Nomis or Divad was Mor’s host. A Black Hole is one of his favorite drinks, although on duty he usually prefers to sip a Cytherian synthale. His quarters are heavily decorated with candles, small sculptures, knick-knacks, and antique objects d’art.

History |
The tenth eventual host of the Mor symbiont was once a quiet, introverted man who studied others a great deal. He did this so much that when he was very young, some thought that he was a mute. He still often retains the tendency to hold his speech until he has thoroughly evaluated all that he should say before saying it.
Hashar has two parents and two siblings, all still alive by 2381. Idaris grew up in the Devysian district of Trill, and showed early on a great aptitude - for working with his peers to solve their problems, especially with purbescent inner turmoil. He was a quiet, studious child, taking his education and being a potential host to a symbiont very seriously. In his younger years, Hashar had a habit of taking things very literally, and jokes often went over his head. Hashar joined with Mor at the age of 20 in late 2367.
The joining process was complex, and when Hashar Mor opened his eyes for the first time, he saw the world in a new light. While his quiet studious core was still present, but he found that he suddenly had acquired (along with the memories and experiences of Mor’s eleven past hosts) a bitingly sarcastic sense of humor.
Also present now were the resurfacing tendrils of the memories of Yinti Mor, who briefly stole the Mor symbiont from Farrell Idaris -- to whom the symbiont was returned before the death of the host. Also now present was an affinity for the Klingon Empire, as well as a calling to the ranks of Command, likely garnered from Tesra Mor, the previous host of the Mor symbiont. No longer was he content to simply solve psycho-social problems he now sought adventure as well.
He moved through the ranks of Starfleet rapidly, and found himself as a Commander at the age of 29. He was, however, busted in rank due to a classified incident [See Garon II report X19JL -- requires security level H]
After this incident, he was returned to the ranks as a Lieutenant Commander, and continued to shine as an officer. Two Commanding Officer with knowledge of said incident have subsequently requested that he be retroactively reinstated. Their requests were denied. Hashar once confided the story of Garon II to a collegue -- that colleague was later killed during the Dominon WAr, in the Battle of Chin’toka.
Now commanding the starship Missouri, a position summarily heaped upon him, he seeks to maintain the coherance and continuance of his crew with an adamant fortitude.

Hashar is, as a Mor host and previously, a very sensual person. He approaches love with a passion, and his heart virtually overflows with a poetic love of life and beauty. He can sometimes be found in his quarters listening to the recitation of poetry from countless worlds. |
