Assistant Chief Flight Control Officer
Human/Trill, age 26
For him, it had only been a fling. It wasn’t his fault that she fell in love with him. Or that she’d gotten pregnant. They day she told him was the last day she ever saw him again.
She was only 19 at the time, and her parents convinced her to move back home, to the United Kingdom. Roughly nine months later, she gave birth to a boy; forever marked with the marks of its father’s race.
Galan learned distaste for his Trill side from his mother. She loved him, but treated his paternal heritage as an insult he was responsible for. Eventually, he began to regard himself as completely human, and for a while during his adolescence, he would become violently angry with anyone who questioned it.
His mother died when he was in his late teens, and instead of grieving, he took a penchant for very dangerous sports. He managed to break a good number of bones in his body, but was never seriously injured. Eventually he began to calm down and took an interest in piloting.
A distant relative of his had been a member of Starfleet, and Galan realized that the fleet was probably the only way to take his newfound passion to its apex. There weren’t many civilian ships that could top that. Even though he didn’t particularly care about exploration, he joined Starfleet and started his career.
Personality: Galan has an aloof, amused outlook on life. It seems that he feels he’s only really living if his life is on the line. And that’s a pretty good estimation of his outlook on life. He works well with humans, but often butts heads with other races.
Phsyical: Galan’s only distinguishing feature is the trail of faint spots that start at his forehead and travel down his body. They are not as dark as the spots of a full blooded Trill. He’s average height and weight. His hair is very light sensitive and naturally bleaches easily.
